Project Settings overview

Updated October 15, 2026

A tour of every tab in your Genesis project settings and what each one controls.

Every Genesis project has a Settings panel where you manage everything that isn't a page or section — your site's identity, integrations, team, and AI preferences.

Note

What you can open here depends on your role. The owner sees everything; an invited member sees the tabs their role allows, and controls their role can't use are disabled with the reason shown on them.

How settings are organized

Tabs are grouped by what you came to do. Staff- and admin-only tabs are left out below.

Tab What it's for
Members Invite collaborators, assign roles, gift credits.
Roles Define what each role can reach — building, publishing, each settings tab, infrastructure, content.

A few things worth knowing

  • Most changes save inline. You'll see a "Saved" pill or a floating Save bar when there are unsaved changes — no separate confirmation screen.
  • Changes reach your preview instantly. Integrations and code changes appear in the live preview right away, and on your published site the next time you publish.
  • Some tabs depend on others. For example, you must fill in Business Details before you can connect a payment gateway.
  • Some tabs only appear for the app you're in. In Cloud & Deploy, a Mobile app adds App Deploy (store keys and build history), a Desktop app adds Desktop app (platforms, signing certificate, installers), and a Web app adds Server.

Pick a tab from the sidebar to dive in.
