Shopify connector
Show your Shopify products on your site and send buyers to your own Shopify checkout — catalog, collections, product pages and search.
Connect your Shopify store so your site shows your real products — catalog, collections, prices and availability — and sends buyers to your own Shopify checkout. Inventory, orders, payments and fulfilment stay in Shopify; your site becomes its storefront.
Setup
In Settings → Connectors → Shopify:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Store domain | Your permanent .myshopify.com domain (for example your-store.myshopify.com), not your custom domain. Find it in the Shopify admin under Settings → Domains. |
| Storefront API access token | The public Storefront API token from a custom app in your store (see below). |
| API version (optional) | A Storefront API version such as 2026-01. Leave it blank to use a recent stable version. |
To get the Storefront token:
- In the Shopify admin, open Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps and create an app (or open one you already have).
- Configure its Storefront API access: grant reading product listings, plus the cart permissions if you want to sell from the site.
- Install the app, then copy the Storefront API access token from its API credentials.
Caution
The Storefront token is public by design — it only reads your catalog and builds carts, and it
ends up in your site's code. Never paste an Admin API token (it starts with shpat_): that one
reads your orders and customers and must never reach a website.
Example prompts
Describe it in chat — no special syntax needed:
- "show my products with a buy button that goes to Shopify checkout"
- "add a page for my Summer collection"
- "build a product page with photos, variants and an Add to cart button"
- "add a search box that searches my Shopify catalog"
Use cases
- A custom storefront for a store that already runs on Shopify.
- Featured products or a collection on a landing page.
- A product page that sends buyers to your Shopify checkout.
Things worth knowing
- Checkout happens on Shopify. The site builds the cart and sends the buyer to your Shopify checkout, so payments, taxes and shipping follow your Shopify settings. This is separate from ESTAGE order forms and the ESTAGE store.
- Storefront only. The connector can't read your orders, customers or inventory levels.
- API versions expire. Shopify supports each Storefront API version for about a year. If the products stop loading with an unsupported-version error, set a current version in API version (optional).
- Republish your site after configuring so the live site picks up the connector.
