Levels, points & leaderboards

Updated October 15, 2026

Decide how many points each action earns, build the levels members climb and what each one unlocks, and see who leads.

Members earn points for taking part — posting, commenting, finishing lessons, showing up to lives. Points add up to levels, and levels can unlock things: a CRM tag, the right to post, a channel. The leaderboard shows who's most active. It's a simple way to reward the members who keep your community going.

Point rewards and levels are set up under Settings → Community Settings.

Before you start

  • Be an admin, or hold the right permission. Editing point rewards and levels is Edit levels, badges & reward rules in roles.
  • To unlock things with a level, have the CRM tags or the rule you want it to open ready.

Point rewards

Settings → Community Settings → Point Rewards sets what each action is worth. Each row has Points, a daily Limit and an On switch. Turning a reward off stops awarding points for it; the action is still tracked.

Your activity — what a member does:

Action Default points Default daily limit
Publish a post 10 3
Write a comment 3 10
React to a post 1 20
Post a story 5 3
Complete a lesson 5 —
Complete a course 25 —
Attend a live event 5 —
Your first post 20 once
Reach a 3-day streak 10 —
Reach a 7-day streak 30 —

From the community — what others do with a member's content:

Action Default points
Someone reacts to your post 2
Someone reacts to your comment 2
Your post reaches 10 views 5

A daily limit caps how many times a repeatable action earns points per day; leave it empty for no limit.

Note

Comments shorter than 20 characters earn nothing, so a quick "Thanks!" won't move anyone up the leaderboard.

Daily point ceiling caps the total a member can earn per day in each group — by default 50 for Your activity and 200 for From the community. Empty or 0 means no ceiling. The first-post and streak bonuses don't count toward it.

Members see the enabled rewards under How points work.

Levels

Settings → Community Settings → Levels opens Community Levels.

  1. Click New Level.
  2. Fill in:
    • Level Name and the Points needed to reach it.
    • Level Description (optional), Level Color, Level Image and an optional Lottie URL for an animation.
    • Under Unlock Rewards, Add Tags To User Profile — CRM tags the member receives when they reach the level.
  3. Click Create in the bar at the bottom.

A member's level score is the sum of the points they earn from their own activity and from the community. When they reach a new level they get a "Level up!" pop-up.

What levels can unlock

  • CRM tags, through Unlock Rewards — and with them anything those tags open: a course, a badge, an automation in your CRM.
  • Posting, commenting and channels, through a level rule in Rules — see Badges, rules & paid access. A member below the level sees how many points they still need.

Caution

Levels feed access. Lowering a level's threshold or editing a level rule can open posting or channels to many members at once.

Leaderboards

The Leaderboards page ranks the top 10 members, plus the viewer's own rank, for All Time, Last 30 Days or Last 7 Days, next to the list of levels. There's nothing to configure — add Leaderboards to your menu from Navigation → Quick add, or turn on the Leaderboard sidebar widget.

Streaks and the progress widget

The My Progress sidebar widget gives each member a short checklist — complete your profile, react to a post, leave a first comment, publish a first post — plus their daily streak and a weekly goal. Members whose streak is about to break get a reminder notification.

A member's profile shows their stats, their streak with an activity calendar, and the Achievements they've earned. On their own profile, members also see the next achievements they're close to and how far along they are; other visitors see only the earned ones.

Things worth knowing

  • New point values apply from the moment you save, to actions members take after that.
