Supabase connector
Connect your own Supabase project — database, auth, file storage, and realtime — so your site can read and write your data.
Connect your own Supabase project so your site can use a real database, user authentication, file storage, and realtime updates. (Different from Dedicated Cloud — here you bring a Supabase project you already own.)
Setup
In Settings → Connectors → Supabase:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Project URL | From Supabase → Project Settings → API. |
| Publishable (anon) key | The public key from the same page — public by design. |
| Management token (optional) | Lets Genesis create tables and security rules for you. |
Note
The anon key is meant to be public — your data is protected by Supabase Row Level Security policies, which Genesis can help you set up.
Example prompts
[Supabase: build a contact form that saves submissions to a "messages" table]
[Supabase: add email/password sign-up and login]
[Supabase: let users upload a profile photo to storage]
[Supabase: show a live count of submissions that updates in realtime]
Because Supabase is a full backend, Genesis writes the integration code (using the official Supabase library) rather than a single relay call — so you get real queries, auth flows, and subscriptions.
Use cases
- A form → database flow you fully own.
- User accounts (sign-up, login, sessions).
- File uploads to Supabase Storage.
- Live data with realtime subscriptions.
Republish your site after configuring.
