Rich Text block
An editable WYSIWYG content block — write and format directly on the page, no chat round-trips for copy changes.
A Rich Text block is a content area you edit directly on the page — like a mini document embedded in your site. Perfect for content that changes often: long-form copy, announcements, anything you'd rather type than ask for.
How to trigger it
- "add a rich text block"
- The Rich Text entry in the
/slash menu
The block is placed empty — the AI doesn't write its text. You fill it in yourself.
Editing
Open the editor either way:
- Double-click the block in the preview, or
- click the block and press Edit content in the element panel.
The editor opens in a popup over the page:
- Formatting: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, font, size, line height, text color, highlight, alignment, links
- Type
/for blocks: headings, bulleted, numbered and task lists, quotes, code blocks, dividers - Global variable pills — use Insert variable to add a global variable
(like
support_email) and its live value renders on the site
Your text saves automatically while you type — the header shows Saving… and then Saved. Close the editor with Esc or the × button; anything not yet saved is saved on close.
Why use it instead of regular text
Regular page text is part of the design — you edit it via the visual editor or chat. A Rich Text block's content lives separately from the code, so:
- You (or a content person) can edit it freely without touching the design.
- Long, formatted content stays easy to maintain.
- The AI won't accidentally rewrite it during unrelated design edits.
Notes
- Add as many blocks per page as you need — each one asked for separately holds its own content. Copies of one block (the same block placed on several pages) show and edit the same text.
- There is no Save button — content is saved server-side automatically.
- Need the content protected from copying? Use the DRM Rich Text block instead.
