Trustpilot connector

Updated October 25, 2026

Add the official Trustpilot widget to your site — your star rating, review count and real reviews, kept in sync by Trustpilot.

Add an official Trustpilot widget (a TrustBox) to your site — your star rating, review count and real customer reviews, kept in sync by Trustpilot. It works on any Trustpilot plan and needs no API key.

Setup

In Settings → Connectors → Trustpilot:

Field What to enter
Business Unit ID The value of data-businessunit-id in your TrustBox code.
Widget (Template) ID The value of data-template-id from the same TrustBox code. It decides the layout (compact badge, carousel, grid).
Your Trustpilot page (optional) Your public Trustpilot review page, e.g. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/yourdomain.com. Shown as a link while the widget loads, and to visitors who block third-party scripts.
Locale (optional) The widget language, e.g. en-US, en-GB, de-DE. Defaults to en-US.

To get the two IDs:

  1. In Trustpilot Business, open Integrations → TrustBox.
  2. Pick the widget layout you want and copy its code.
  3. In that code, copy the values of data-businessunit-id and data-template-id into the fields.

To change the layout later, pick another widget in Trustpilot and save its template ID.

Example prompts

Describe it in chat — no special syntax needed:

  • "show my Trustpilot rating under the hero"
  • "add a Trustpilot reviews carousel to the testimonials section"
  • "put a small Trustpilot badge in the footer"

Use cases

  • A trust strip near the hero or the call to action.
  • A reviews carousel in a testimonials section.
  • A compact badge in the footer.

Things worth knowing

  • The widget is Trustpilot's own. Genesis styles the section around it — background, heading, spacing — but can't restyle, filter or reorder the reviews inside it. If you want reviews in your own design, paste the review texts in chat and Genesis builds that section from them.
  • It stays in sync by itself. New reviews appear without republishing.
  • Republish your site after configuring so the live site picks up the connector.
