ESTAGE Video overview

Updated October 25, 2026

What the ESTAGE Video app does, who can open it, and a tour of the library screen — so you know where uploading, settings and sharing live.

ESTAGE Video is the video library that comes with your ESTAGE account. You upload or record a video once, ESTAGE processes it into streaming quality levels, and it plays through the ESTAGE player — on your Genesis sites, in your community, or from a plain link. Use it when you want your videos on your own pages, with your own logo and settings, instead of on YouTube or Vimeo.

The app lives at video.estage.com. You can also reach it from the module menu in the top bar of any ESTAGE app (Video Hosting), and from Genesis under Media → Videos.

Who can open it

You sign in with your ESTAGE account. An active ESTAGE plan unlocks the library — without one, the app shows a Get started page instead. Viewers who watch your videos never need an account (unless you protect a video; see Privacy and sharing a video).

The library screen

Area What it's for
All videos (left sidebar) Your library's top level — folders and videos that aren't inside a folder
Shared with me Folders other ESTAGE users have shared with you. A count appears once anything is shared
Folders Your folder tree. The + next to the heading creates a folder
Storage (bottom of the sidebar) How much of your storage you're using, or Unlimited
Search videos and folders… (top bar) Finds videos and folders by the start of their name
Add Video (top right) Upload Video or Record Video
Workspace switcher (top bar) Switch between your Personal library and team workspaces you've joined; Manage team opens the team page
Profile menu Your credits, Settings, Knowledge Base, Log out

Click a video to open its settings page — title, thumbnail, privacy, player look, captions, chapters, on-video buttons and the end screen. See Video settings.

What you do here

Where your videos show up

  • On a Genesis site — the ESTAGE Video player element plays any video from your library.
  • In your community — course lessons and community posts can use videos from your library. See Community.
  • From a link — every video has a player link you can send or embed.

Things worth knowing

  • The library belongs to your account, not to a project. The same video can play on several sites and in your community at once.
  • Deleting a video removes it everywhere it plays. There is no trash or undo.
  • Your storage is per library. People working in your team workspace use your storage, not theirs. See Uploading and processing.
