# Amplify — bring in posts and lives

> With an Amplify subscription, pull posts and live streams shared by the main ESTAGE community into your own feed, and choose where they land.

**Amplify** brings content from the main ESTAGE community into yours: posts and live streams it
shares appear in your feed as if they were posted there, so your members get them without leaving
your community. Likes and comments stay with the original. Use it to keep your feed busy with
ESTAGE content without posting it yourself.

Amplify is an add-on, under **Settings → Add-ons → Amplify**.

## Before you start

- **Hold an Amplify subscription** on your own ESTAGE account. The tab only shows for people who
  have one.
- **Be an admin, or hold the Amplify permissions** in [roles](https://support.estage.com/community-roles): **View what can
  be shared**, **Bring in & sync content from another community**, and **Amplify settings**.

> **Note**
>
> Your plan decides where you can use it. A single-community plan works in one community only — if
> it's already used elsewhere, the tab tells you which one ("Your plan allows Amplify in only one
> community"). An unlimited plan works in all of yours.

## Bringing in posts

1. Under **Posts**, choose **Add new posts to** — the channel of your community they land in (or the
   main feed).
2. Either:
   - type a post's share code into **Add by share code** (a short code of letters and digits), or
   - switch on the posts you want from the list of shared posts.

Each imported post shows which channel it's in — pick another channel next to it to move it. Switch
it off to take it out of your feed.

## Bringing in lives

Under **Lives**:

- **Auto-include all lives** — every amplified live appears in your feed automatically, now and in
  the future.
- Or switch on individual lives from the list. Each shows whether it's **Live now**, **Scheduled**
  (with its time) or **Recorded**.
- **Add new lives to** picks where individually added lives land, and the channel next to an added
  live moves it.

> **Note**
>
> Lives brought in by **Auto-include all lives** always go to the main feed, whatever **Add new lives
> to** is set to.

Amplified lives play in your community, but the stream controls stay with the community that runs
them.

## Things worth knowing

- **Imported posts can't be edited** in your community — they belong to the original. Use **Remove
  from my community** on the post to take one out.
- **Reactions and comments are shared.** Your members' comments appear on the original post, next
  to everyone else's.
