Sell or share courses on ESTAGE? The **Courses integration** puts your live course catalog on
your Genesis site.

## How to trigger it

Type **/courses** in the chat (it starts an `[Estage Courses: …]` request), or just describe it.
For example:

- *"add a course catalog from my ESTAGE library with category filters, 3 per row"*
- *"add a featured courses section for the home page"*
- *"add a searchable list of all my courses with covers and lesson counts"*

## What happens

Genesis builds a section that **fetches your real courses** — names, descriptions, covers,
categories, lesson counts — and renders the catalog you described. It's live data:

- **Publish a new course → it appears on the site** automatically.
- Category filters and search work against your actual catalog.

## Tweaking without chat

Like the [Video Library](https://support.estage.com/capabilities-video-library), the built components expose options
(courses shown, category, search) as [Live Controls](https://support.estage.com/capabilities-live-controls-tag) — adjust in
the sidebar without an AI request.

## Where the courses come from

The catalog shows the **public courses of the ESTAGE community behind your site** — the one
live data source, read on every visit:

- **The project's own community** (the **Community app**, turned on in Settings → Overview) —
this is what a website's catalog reads.
- **A community linked to the site** through the Community toolkit (Web apps) — the catalog
reads that community instead, even when it lives in a different ESTAGE project.

A community that lives in a **different ESTAGE project** and is not linked to the site is not
read. That is the usual reason a catalog of a community you own comes back empty.

Only courses marked **public** are listed. Day-challenges and courses that need approval
(`by license`) never appear.

## Seeing "No public courses yet"?

1. Check that your courses are **public** in that community.
2. Check that the courses are in **this project's** community (or in the community linked to
the site), not in a community of another ESTAGE project.
3. If you added the catalog before linking the community, ask the AI to *"reload the course
catalog from my community"* so the section picks up the linked community.

## What a click on a course does

Each course card opens that course **in your community** (its preview lesson if it has one,
otherwise the first lesson). Signing in, buying a paid course and taking the lessons all happen
there — your site never asks visitors to register or log in. Catalogs built before this change
need one AI edit ("make each course card open the course in my community") to pick it up.

## Notes

- The catalog links visitors to the courses; the course experience itself (lessons, progress,
  payment) runs on ESTAGE.
